Ready to ship on April Fools’ Day, 2019 – Severtson’s new Nano Screens! The “world’s smallest screens” are now available for sale & distribution!
Mesa, Ariz., April 1, 2019 – As a leader in the cinema, home theater, and Pro-AV screen industry, Severtson Corporation (www.SevertsonScreens.com) has a history of creating cutting edge, top-quality projection screens for its customers. Today, on this USA day of pranks and jokes known as “April Fools’ Day,” Severtson is once again announcing the creation of a new product line that literally minimizes their competition! Made out of the same high quality PVC vinyl it is known for globally, Severtson now offers their new Nano line of Screens — the world’s smallest projection screens — in both 3D silver and 2D white with the same custom gains and perforated options offered on its Cinema, ProAV and Home Theater screens.
The idea for The World’s Smallest screens came about at Severtson’s corporate offices as Dan Maxwell, Severtson VP and COO, was discussing giant-sized screens that Severtson quite frequently manufactures. Speaking about these largest screens in the world that Severtson Screens has produced, Dan commented, “Been there, done that…we need to do something new, something extraordinary, something nobody else in the industry has attempted.” That’s when the thought hit him, “We’ve already done the largest…perhaps it’s time to attempt the world’s smallest screen!”
Almost immediately, Severtson’s technology guru and screen genius, VP & CTO, Kirk Severtson went to work envisioning the tools and materials necessary to make such a minuscule screen. After 12 months of meager research and development since Severtson’s last April Fools’ Day innovation of Stretch-Arm Screens, Kirk once again is wooing customers and minimalists with Severtson’s new “Nano Screen” product line.
Nano screens are not to be confused with Severtson’s revolutionary “Microperf” screens, which offer approximately seven percent open space, eliminating moire and allowing speakers to be placed directly behind the screen, providing the best audio and visual experience available in the marketplace today. Severtson Screens’ new Nano Screens are the tiniest screens ever produced, with a miniscule 1mm velvet-wrapped aluminum bezel, and available in all of Severtson’s standard perforations and coatings. The teeniest screen they can currently produce has a minimum size of 0.48in. at a 16:9 aspect ratio. But as Severtson is well known throughout the industry for its innovations, they believe they may be able to produce even smaller screens in a short time.
Severtson Screens is also renowned throughout the industry for its revolutionary folded 3D Silver & White Screens which have reduced shipping costs to customers by up to 70 percent on shipping and logistics charges. “These new Nano Screens minimize shipping costs to a whole new level!”, Maxwell added, “We can ship a full complex of 10, 12, even 15 Nano Screens in a standard-sized mail envelope, with a single postage stamp.”
You may be thinking, “What exactly will these Nano Screens be used for?” Well, that is still yet to be determined, but like in the movie Field of Dreams, Severtson Screens believes, “If you build it, they will come!” Aaron White, Severtson National Sales Director, added with teensy effort, “People put little emphasis on usefulness these days. We built these puny screens to prove it could be done!”
Not to minimize this scanty announcement, as an added bonus from celebrating this micro-sized achievement, Severtson is offering its screens with a limited-time April Fools Day special offer: Buy any Severtson screen at TWICE the price and get a second screen of equal or lesser value absolutely FREE! Yes, you read that correctly…you pay DOUBLE the price for any Severtson screen and get a 2nd screen of equal or lesser value for FREE! This offer won’t last long folks, so take advantage of it while supplies last.
Severtson’s new Nano Screens & Twice the Price deal will only be available on April Fools’ Day, April 1, 2019. We hope that you have enjoyed Severtson’s latest annual April Fools’ Day prank, and that you will continue to stay tuned for the real announcements we make at trade shows and in trade publications throughout the year.
