In conjunction with CES+, Ecuador’s Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil now includes 11 Severtson SēVision 3D GX-WA Standard Perforation projection screens
San Tan Valley, Arizona, August 9, 2021 – Severtson Screens (severtsonscreens.com), a global leader in innovative and quality projection screens for the cinema, commercial, pro AV, and home theater markets, is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with CES+, it has provided 11 SēVision 3D GX-WA standard perforation screens for Ecuador’s new Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil.
“This is a very exciting project, and our enhanced SēVision 3D GX-WA projection screens are a brilliant example of Severtson Screens’ continued quest for quality, improvement, and innovation, making it the ideal screen for Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil,” explained Toby Severtson, president and CEO of Severtson Corp. “The SēVision 3D GX-WA coating provides the benefits of the standard SēVision 3D GX coating, but offers increased uniformity and brightness typically seen more often on 2D white screens. It is also engineered specifically to increase the viewing angle over standard silver screens while also reducing hotspotting.”
Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil, which opened in late May 2021, features Severtson’s screens ranging in sizes from 14.25ft x 25.5ft up to an enormous 35.25ft x 65.3ft screen. Along with Severtson’s screens, Multicines also features Dolby Audio systems and servers, chairs by Inorca and Lumma, and RGB pure laser projection technology by Christie.
“We wanted to provide our customers with the best moviegoing experience possible, and Severtson has provided the ideal screens for our new location,” said Gonzalo Lopez, Multicines’ CEO. “We needed screens in varying sizes and gains, and Severtson was able to supply everything to our exact needs and specifications. And the final products’ visual and audio qualities have surpassed our expectations.”
Specifications of the enhanced SēVision 3D GX-WA include:
- Surface: smooth PVC with a high gain optical coating for perfect texture and gain uniformity
- Gain: 1.4 – 3.0 on axis +/- 0.2
- Signal to noise ratio: 100 – 200+:1
- Available perforations: standard, micro, digital, non-perf
- Materials: panel width 62-inches; thickness 12mm
- Edges: 6-inch standard grommet spacing (optional 9in., 4.5in, 3in. spacing)
- Webbing: 2.5-inch standard
- Packaging: rolled (tube only, tray & tube, full crate); folded (crate)
“We couldn’t have done this tremendous installation without our partners at Severtson Screens,” added Alex Younger, CES+ CEO. “We are grateful to them for being able to provide a large quantity of high quality, varying size screens internationally and on time, especially during the current pandemic.”
For this installation, the SēVision 3D GX-WA standard perf screens were shipped rolled. Like all Severtson projection materials, SēVision 3D GX-WA offers the unique benefit of also being foldable, without any damage to the projection surface. “This allows it to be transported in a smaller crate and at a fraction of the cost, as well as to locations around the world where shipping was previously far more difficult and expensive,” concluded Dan Maxwell, Severtson Corp. V.P. & Chief Operating Officer.
